Hal 9000 skin for Ultra Hal Assistant.

Hello All,
Well I'd been looking for a decent HAL 9000 Skin for the Ultra Hal assistant and couldn't find
one that was quite up to the standards I was looking for. So, decided to make my own.
Here's the result, hope you enjoy it!

Being a bit rusty I decided to avoid the programming side of things, and revamped an existing
template (the Strange Sky template - which, to be honest wasn't really to my tastes at all
but the layout was pretty much as close as I could find to what i needed, so thankyou to the
original Author for that!)

What you will need to do:

Step 1:
Copy the Hall9000.uhp file into the UltraHallAssistant6 folder.
(This is the root directory of the program, the very first one you come to)

Step 2: Rename the Halstart.jpg file in the Characters folder to "halstart2.jpg" (this is just to back it up)
Then Copy the NEW Unzipped Halstart.jpg file to the "characters folder"

Step 3: Copy the remaining files into the Skins folder.

Step 4: Go to the ultra hal menu, choose general options.

Step 5: Go to Character and choose "Hal No Character" and click apply.

Step 6: Go to skins and choose the "Hal900" skin. Click Apply.

Step 7: Close the menu, you should now see the Hal 9000 skin, only without the "eye"

Hover the mouse just below the Hal 9000 logo and a little box saying "load and info"
should appear, click on load. Then find the "Haleye.jpg" file from the skins folder and
click on open.

Step 8: ALL DONE! I hope you enjoy your Hal 9000.

TIPS:
For a really convincing Hal 9000, you would do well to download the Cepstral Lawrence voice.
You can try a demo of the voice on the Zabaware site: http://www.zabaware.com/cepstral.asp
And you can purchase the voice directy from cepstral for $29.99 (at the time of writing.)
It's very easy to install and the voice is incredibly good quality - and very very similar to the original.
Hal 9000 voice.

The link to purchase the voice directly, here is the link:

I've also been experimenting with the UltraHal voice recognition, It takes a little time training, but eventually
it starts to get acurate. It's quite rewarding to be able to talk to your Hal 9000 without typing.

If i can find the time, I'll most probably be working on a Hal brain, so if I ever complete that, i'll make that
available too.

All the very best wishes,
